centre of broken hill

The richness of a glorious mining history, eye-catching outcrops of sun-burnt rock and range, set in vividly contrasting plains of red dirt and grey saltbush. Destination Broken Hill encapsulates ‘real experience’, eccentricity and other worldly beauty.

Broken Hill is also the destination of film-makers. Destination Broken Hill has provided the back-drop for films such as Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Mad Max 2, Wake in Fright and Last Cab to Darwin.

Broken Hill inspires art – popular, human-interest art. Why wouldn’t you want to make Broken Hill your destination?

Unusual place, originally? a large home I think? ~ has history that I meant to read, but cut my stay short due to ill health.Reception, Helen a lovely lady, do anything to help & satisfies your needs.Prepared to be flexible & not grabbing for the money.Accomdation was very comfortable.William

Beautiful old home, lovingly restored, reasonably priced, close to town!.The only thing that spoiled it was the mural painted on the wall! Great mural but in my view not suitable for this home, having been brought up in Broken Hill I know this property very well!

Hi I had a wonderful stay at this motel. I felt like I was staying in a private home. My room was lovely and clean with so many facilities and the bathroom was modern and big. I would stay there again and have already recommended it to everyone else who may visit. Audrey

The room we stayed in was very neat and felt historical. Motel is located a short distance to the main street and central to most attractions. There is also a salt water pool, which was an absolute joy to jump into on a hot broken hill day.

Not a bad place. A little pricey for a form style hotel. Enjoyed the plunger coffee. Bed was way too soft. Location was a bit out of town to walk to dining and bars.
