'Lovely couple from Parkes'
My husband and I recently stayed at the Lodge Motel for 7 nights and can't recommend it highly enough.
It is in a great location to the city centre, museums etc. All necessary amenities for a one week stay. Beds very comfortable. Good breakfasts. Chris and Helene are wonderful hosts. Auxiliary staff very obliging. If only we could visit again! Thank you very much.
On my way to Uluru I stopped in Broken Hill. I found The Lodge at the last minute. It was a great place with simple yet clean accommodations that met my needs. It is off the main road so it's nice and quiet at night and the staff is friendly. You can't go wrong staying here.
After arriving in Broken Hill with no accomodation booked we called this motel and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The rooms were older but very comfortable, loads of soft pillows on the bed, cutlery and crockery for all our needs and a wonderful warm heater. It was wonderful after a busy day to come back to a warm cosy, comfortable room in near zero weather.
^^ Broken Hill ^^
'Broken Hill is always about 'Coming home', as we were born here. It is also about the big skies the vast distances, the imponderable age of the place. There is a great sense of place and perspective. Can't get too big for your boots, here, or bung on 'Airs'. Quote given by guest Esme Hobba.
**** Great old style country motel ****
Stayed in a family room which was huge. Made my own coffee with a plunger but it was too strong. User error to blame!
We felt charmed by the building and welcomed by the staff, who bent over backwards to provide us with historical information. This is very much appreciated.
**** Wonderful experience ****
My experience was that I was comfortable the room had all the facilities I needed. The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. The home made soap was a surprise treat.
