A joint family adventure

The Lodge Outback Motel is a family owned business and takes pride in its friendly and flexible approach.

Our onsite Manager Christine Hugo worked as a primary school teacher and Deputy Principal for over 25 years. She manages the motel together with her daughter Rhianon who is trained in Tourism and her son-in-law Reagan who is a professional Brick Layer. 

The Hugo family is joined by a team of dedicated and professional house keeping staff, Debbie, Pauline and Margaret.

Family support additionally comes from Helene and Duncan Power who provide financial and management skills. 

The Hugo and Power families fell in love with the historic charm of Broken Hill and its environs after spending a Christmas vocation in the region and decided it was a perfect location for a family business venture – recognizing its profound and still relatively hidden tourist potential.
