Located on the saltbush planes in the Mulga country surrounded by the Barrier Ranges. Broken Hill, first discovered by European settlers in 1841 a mining town with a true outback history. For the 21st century Broken Hill moves from a total reliance on the extractive industry to a new focus on creative and leisure enterprises.
